Ivonne De Pascual:
Ivonne De Pascual, the founder of the Counseling Care Center, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of New Jersey (#37PC004445000.) She is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors, and a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Rutgers University, and her Masters Degree in Counseling from Montclair State University. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Association of the Person-Centered Approach (ADPCA.)
In 2018, Ivonne was awarded the "Outstanding Professional Achievement in Community/Mental Health Counseling" by Montclair State University. That same year, the National Board for Certified Counselors awarded her "Special Recognition for the Dedicated Pursuit of Continuing Education" for exceeding 130 hours of continuing education for the National Certified Counselor (NCC) Certification.
She specializes in group work as well as individual and couples sessions, helping people to believe in themselves, overcome addictions, self-destructive behavior and gaining healthy skills to rebuild their lives. Her extensive experience includes but it is not limited to substance abuse, anger management, depression, anxiety, sexual identity, co-dependency, self-esteem, domestic violence, women’s issues, grief and loss, trauma, and relationship and conflict resolution, and many other life stressors that block individuals from reaching their potential and fulfilling their purpose in life. She has extensive experience in facilitating group counseling sessions serving a reentry population from 2005 to 2013.
She has touched hundreds of lives with her warmth and genuine care for helping others to reach their potential and developing their inner strengths into positive action. Her passion for the counseling profession drove her to develop the vision of the Counseling Care Center, LLC. Her commitment to the counseling profession keeps her constantly involved in additional training. She is presently pursuing her Certification in Psychodrama and Souldrama, under the supervision of Connie Miller, International author, trainer and founder of the International Institute of Souldrama.
Ivonne loves working in private practice where she offers counseling services for individuals, families and couples. JoAnn Elliott is a Licensed Professional Counselor (#37PC00438200) working, for the past 10 years, with adults, adolescents, couples and families. JoAnn helps her clients address evident and underlying issues to help them gain insight and skills to alleviate their distress and reach their full potential.
She treats depression, panic and anxiety, social anxiety, addictions, grief, stress, physical and sexual abuse and other trauma. JoAnn works with many couples and families for conflict management and other relationship issues and has exceptional therapeutic relationships with teens. She also works to help educate parents on interventions to be used at home with their children.
JoAnn received her Master’s Degree in Counseling, and Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Montclair State University. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the New Jersey Counseling Association, and is on the Board of the New Jersey Mental Health Counselors Association.
JoAnn is empathic and engaging with her clients and works with them at their own pace and level. Her utmost focus is in establishing true connections with the people she treats.
Caroline’s greatest incentive as a therapist is to help her clients explore different ways to make positive changes in their lives by providing them with a better outlook into the future. She knows that everyone needs someone to talk to who will listen to them without any judgment. In her sessions, she wants each client to feel accepted and heard in a safe environment; a place where they can find themselves and do some searching to move past any issues that are preventing them from living a healthier lifestyle.
For over 10 years, she has facilitated groups dealing with depression, addictions, grief, self-esteem, anger management, relationship issues, anxiety, and among many other issues.
Her education includes a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Bloomfield College, and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is a licensed Associate Counselor in the state of New Jersey (#37AC00321300). She speaks Spanish, and is a member of the American Counseling Association. Additionally, she holds a certification as a grief recovery specialist and is currently pursuing a certification at the International Institute of Souldrama, under the supervision of the founder, Connie Miller. In addition, Caroline receives continual mental health training at various workshops around the country.
Caroline is an experienced college professor and for over 10 years has been teaching various classes in Psychology and Sociology. She believes in educating and guiding her students to better choices in their personal and professional lives.

Maureen Chauncey is a Licensed Professional Counselor [LPC] State of New Jersey (#37AC00270500). She is currently working as a school counselor for the last 4 years. Maureen counsels adults, adolescents, couples and families. Her theoretical foundation for counseling is Reality Theory, Solution Focus and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; which supports the counseling approach that will help those who are experiencing anxiety and panic, grief, stress, and other trauma. Maureen builds a therapeutic relationship with her clients for a nurturing counseling environment.
Maureen has her Master’s in School Counseling at Capella University and is furthering her education with a Doctorate in Counseling Education and Supervision at Capella University as well. She is a member of North American Region of American Counselor Educators and Supervisors [NARACES], American Counseling Association [ACA], American School Counseling Association [ASCA], and Essex County School Counselors Association [ECSCA]. Maureen is a current member of Chi Sigma Iota within the Chi Upsilon Chi chapter; which is a professional honor society that recognized for distinguished academic achievement.
Liza Ibrahim is a Licensed Associate Counselor (#37AC00294700) working with all age groups of various cultural backgrounds and a wide range of clinical diagnoses. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Rutgers University. She earned her Master of Arts and Education Specialist degree in Professional Counseling, from Seton Hall University. In addition to her credentials in Mental Health Counseling, Liza is NJ certified School Counselor. Her background in both clinical and school settings have helped her to become skilled in working with children coping with bullying, low self-esteem, anxiety, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and other various clinical disorders.
Liza enjoys working with clients of various age groups and cultural backgrounds. Her work at Options Counseling Center focused on adults and adolescents coping with co-occurring clinical disorders and substance use disorders. In addition, Liza’s background working as a School Counselor has developed her passion for working with children and adolescents. She genuinely enjoys working with youth- ages 5-17. Some of the resources she implements include-CBT, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Psychodynamic, Solution-Focused, Person-Centered, and Mindfulness.
She truly believes that to be a successful therapist, one must be able to empathize and connect all clients. Her practical view of the function of counseling is as a journey of self-exploration by the client, meant to increase his or her level of self-understanding and self-awareness. She as a counselor acts as a guide or facilitator of this journey. She believes it is her job to help clients identify, develop, and mobilize their own resources to successfully solve problems and cope with difficulties in their lives.
Viviana Villalobos is a Licensed Professional Counselor (#37PC00547800) and has experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. VIviana works with children and adults on a one-on-one basis and provides therapy for couples and families. Viviana graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2011. She currently attends the College of St. Elizabeth for her Psy.D in Counseling Psychology.
Her experience at the Regional Diagnostic Treatment Center includes working with children who have experienced trauma from either physical or sexual abuse. Viviana has also provided in home therapeutic services to children and adolescents who have anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, grief, separation, and also helps to provide parents with interventions that they can use at home. Viviana is certified in Combined Parent Child Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CPC-CBT), which is an evidenced based practice designed to address the needs of children and families at-risk for physical abuse.
Viviana is fluent in English and Spanish. She enjoys helping people from all backgrounds. She is empathic and caring. She creates a warm and friendly environment to help clients feel comfortable as they develop a therapeutic relationship.
Amanda Shaw is a Licensed Social Worker (#44SL06180200). She is currently working as a School Social Worker in an Urban Elementary School with children ages 5-9. She has experience working as a Social Service Counselor with adolescents struggling with mental illness ages 13-18 years old. She has a passion for helping children and adults cope with difficulties and life challenge’s, resolve problems or conflicts, and enhance their quality of life. She graduated with her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and received her Master’s of Social Work from Rutgers University. She has experience working with children and adults with varying clinical diagnoses which include but are not limited to: anger management, trauma, anxiety, grief counseling, ADHD, low self-esteem, and stress. Amanda recently completed a New York University’s Post Master’s Certificate Program in Child and Family Therapy. Amanda is a member of the National Association of Social Workers of New Jersey. She is genuinely dedicated to empowering her clients. She works hard to provide clients with a therapeutic environment where they feel safe, supported and confident as they address their problems.
